A short lived, but prolific locked-down, beat-making project. Spurred on by my adoration for the culture surrounding beat-tapes and the timid lion that is the Roland SP-404SX sampler: A truely imperfect, but inspirational piece of equiptment from the late 00s.
Hours were sunk into tapping out rhythms and melodies on the clumsy interface of this sampler. Much joy was had, testing what sounds could be made by finding the limits of the sampler's capabilites and then going farther and even farther into the unknown.
I don't expect anybody will ever be interested in butting bars down over these beats, but this period I will forever hold dear.
He was only alive for a short while, but BO lives on for ever.
